Why Wear Lederhosen in the Customary Fashion with Suspenders?

Published

on

If you are a fan of attending Oktoberfest, you will know that Bavarian traditional lederhosen comes with durable leather straps to wear over the shoulder. Joined across your chest by a panel, usually adorned with intricate embroidery, these suspenders or braces are a key part of the Bavarian, Alpine outfit without which the costume is not a “complete” one.

This is a reason why you will find so many men wearing their lederhosen with these suspenders; it helps to add the traditional feel and adds a classic touch to your authentic lederhosen. You should know, men prefer to wear their lederhosen in the customary fashion due to some reasons, these include:

Leather Shorts are the Key Element

First, many Bavarian fashion styles depend on leather shorts as the key elements along with trainers and casual tops. Leather suspenders serve as the hallmark, in H-shapes; they go perfectly with the shirts, blazers, and waistcoats. Keep in mind that pairing the suspenders or braces with T-shirts will your entire look a childish touch, so you should avoid this fashion mistake when you attend Oktoberfest.

When you attend Oktoberfest, you will also see so many Munich locals wearing Bayern Munchen style strips with their traditional lederhosen, for example, and leaving the suspenders off to avoid detracting from the top.

Comfort is Important

For some people, comfort is an issue. Although lederhosen braces serve the other purpose of holding up leather breeches, and they are adjustable, they could end up getting in the way and lead to chaffing of the chest and shoulders. However, if you choose authentic leather suspenders, this is something you will not have to worry about since they are a lot more comfortable to wear.

As mentioned earlier, you should be aware that LederhosenForSale braces do not work well with shirts that have short sleeves. This makes your costume appear unauthentic and destroys your appearance, so you should pair this with long sleeved shirts.

However, if you want to keep a casual look and still flaunt a classic Bavarian look, especially after sometime drinking in the beer garden, you can leave them off for some informal boozy session. For weddings or any occasion, you can match your suspenders with shirts, blazers, and shiny waistcoats.

Checkered Shirts and Suspenders

Actually, at the Oktoberfest Munich, turning up in the stylish checkered shirt with your suspenders is the perfect way to show that you are a tourist, especially if you wear acostume every year. Bending the rules is something the locals do not appreciate, so you should make sure that in order to avoid any form of criticism, you should combine your white or checkered shirt with the suspenders, and yes, be sure to blend in like a complete Bavarian!

Replace Suspenders with Belts

For a traditional look, you can also consider replacing suspenders with lederhosen belts. Although this is something you will not agree with in the beginning, since the leather pants feel tight when you wear them. However, as you wear them for a longer time, they become looser and a reason why you will want to consider wearing suspenders. This means that you will have to replace your suspender with belts in order to keep the breeches in place.

If you decide to wear leather belts, it is advisable that you pair them with authentic leather belts. Make sure the belts match the color of the breeches and come with adjustable buckles.

Lederhosen surely has the power to transform your appearance in the most sophisticated way. Before you attend Oktoberfest, make sure that you search for the best costumes, one that offers class and comfortable fitting suspenders! You can also search over the internet, and you will surely find websites that offer seamless online shopping services and within no time, have your costume at your doorstep.

What Makes XLPE Insulation so Special for Users?

Published

on

Cross linked polyethylene or XLPE is a different type of insulation material that XLPE power cable manufacturers use. Crosslinking polymers is a known process applied in the production of XLPE cables. The process changes the entire molecular structure of the polymer chains to bind together. This crosslinking is done by professionals in the foundry by chemical means or physical means.

Physical and Chemical crosslinking

Physical crosslinking includes subjecting the polymer to the high-energy source like microwave radiation or high-energy electron.

Chemical crosslinking process includes chemicals or initiators such as peroxide or silane that are used to generate free radicals which create the crosslinking.

PE or Polyethylene material has extraordinary features, such as-

  • Good dielectric strength
  • High insulation resistance
  • Low dissipation factor at all frequencies

All these features make the material an ideal insulator. However, it’s temperature range is limited. Crosslinking the PE to produce XLPE raises the temperature range of the insulation without making any change to its electrical properties.

Is PVC similar to XLPE cable insulation?

Not at all! PVC and XLPE are two unique materials used by wires and cables manufacturers to prepare distinct cable batches. XLPE material is best for voltage ranges from low to higher voltage. Manufacturers use XLPE material when they cannot involve PVC, EPR, and silicone rubbers. XLPE crosslinking enhances the resistance properties of the cables. Manufacturers at the factory apply crosslinking process to polyethylene at elevated temperatures to make it suitable for use as a low smoke zero halogen material.

Apart from chemical properties, mechanical properties of the XLPE are also making the material superior to other insulations. These are-

  • Greater tensile strength
  • Elongation
  • Impact resistance

Cable manufacturers add carbon black to enhance hot deformation and cut through resistance. By doing this, they get success in delivering the XLPE power cables that don’t melt or drip, even at the extreme temperatures. This also increases the flow resistance and makes the product last-longing.

Better water-tree resistance is next feature offered by XLPE insulation. You may again read the phrase “water-tree”. Water treeing is a defect caused by imperfect insulation. If the engineers fail to produce perfect insulation, they encounter fracture in the structure, which grow in the direction of the electric field. This results in increased electrical stress. It should be remembered by the XLPE power cable manufacturers that this effect is not only limited to PE materials.

Aadhaar Virtual Id: A Concise Guide to Temporary Virtual Identity

Published

on

By

Aadhaar card is the most important document for Indian residents. We have read about it in the news, heard about it several times. The world’s largest biometric system of identification stores the data of the second largest population of the world.

Aadhaar Virtual ID Authorisation

The number of registration for Aadhaar is increasing every day. To further safeguard Aadhaar data of the residents, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has introduced new security features to prevent any kind of data security concerns.
The UIDAI will launch ‘Virtual ID’ or VID for Aadhaar cardholders. To know all there is to know about Aadhaar Virtual ID, continue reading.

Virtual ID: The Definition

Aadhaar Virtual ID is a temporary 16-digit number. It can be randomly generated by the cardholder. For authentication or KYC, VID can be used instead of Aadhaar number. Only Aadhaar UID number holders can generate the VID.

Uses of Aadhaar Virtual ID

The VID can be used by cardholders for KYC processes at banks, telecom service outlets, and places where they need to authenticate their details. Virtual ID number can be used just like Aadhaar UID during authentication processes.

Validity of VID

The 16-digit Virtual ID number has been configured to be temporary. Like OTPs, the validity of VID is limited. Cardholders can generate a new VID every time the minimum validity period of the existing VID is over.

Virtual ID: Its Calculation and Formula

The last digit of the VID is based on an algorithm known as “Verhoeff”. It was conceived by Jacobus Verhoeff, a Dutch mathematician. The algorithm which is a checksum formula was developed for error detection.

Benefits of Verhoeff Algorithm

The Verhoeff algorithm is a complex calculation process. Thus making it impossible for any individual to calculate it manually. The Virtual ID, being based on such complex algorithm, cannot be used for data deduplication by fraudulent agencies.

Aadhaar VID: Verification and Safety

During authentication processes, VIDs will only confirm that the 16-digit number is linked to a particular Aadhaar UID. Organisations asking for Aadhaar verification will not be able to derive the actual Aadhaar number using the Virtual ID.

Even personal information other than name, address, and photo will not be revealed to the third-party. At the time of authentication, cardholders do not need to reveal their Aadhaar number. Also, no one but the Aadhaar cardholder will be able to generate his/her Virtual ID number.

Issuance of Virtual ID: When and How

From the end of March 2018, the UIDAI would start issuing Aadhaar Virtual IDs. People can generate, retrieve, and cancel their VIDs by visiting the official website of UIDAI. This temporary ID can also be generated from the mAadhaar mobile application or by visiting any nearest Aadhaar enrolment centre.

From 01 June 2018, it will no more be mandatory to share Aadhaar number during authentication. Any business asking for Aadhaar validation must accept the Virtual ID in place of the 12-digit Aadhaar UID number.

Features of Virtual ID

The new measure is taken to strengthen the safety of the data of millions of Aadhaar cardholders. The key features of Aadhaar Virtual ID are:

  • It is a 16-digit temporary number.
  • It will be mapped with the permanent Aadhaar number.
  • The VID is calculated based on “Verhoeff” algorithm.
  • The checksum formula used to calculate VID will be able to detect errors.
  • Virtual IDs can be generated from March 2018.
  • Aadhaar cardholders can generate Virtual IDs by visiting UIDAI’s official website, Aadhaar enrolment centres, or by downloading the mAadhaar app.
  • The validity period of the VID is limited.
  • UIDAI will set the validity period in accordance to its policy.
  • The Virtual ID can be changed once the set time period is over.
  • Only one VID will be valid and active at any given point of time.
  • Aadhaar cardholders can generate the Virtual ID as many times as they want.
  • Once the new VID is generated, the previous one will get cancelled automatically.
  • VIDs will be made compulsory for verification purposes from 01 June 2018 onwards.

Benefits of Virtual ID

UIDAI has announced the new system for increased security. The Virtual ID authentication is aimed to minimise the risk of data theft and exploitation. The major benefits of Aadhaar Virtual ID are:

  • Agencies cannot determine Aadhaar number from the random Virtual ID number.
  • Only limited information like name, address, and the photo of individuals will be provided to authorised agencies during verification.
  • Only the Aadhaar UID number holders can generate a Virtual ID number.
  • No one can generate the VID on behalf of the Aadhaar cardholder.
  • Aadhaar cardholders can generate, reclaim, or cancel their 16-digit VID both online and offline.
  • In case UID number holders forget their Virtual ID, they can place the old VID with a new one.
  • Individuals will be able to apply for services using this Aadhaar Virtual Id.
  • It can be used in place of Aadhaar number for authentication purposes.
  • Virtual ID numbers being temporary, no one can use it for data deduplication.

All authentication agencies must comply with the directives from UIDAI regarding VID authentication.

In case, a business refuses to accept Aadhaar Virtual ID, UIDAI might prohibit it from performing authentication services. Agencies might also face financial penalties for the same.
After the new system is launched, UIDAI will provide instructions to generate the Virtual ID number.

8 Tips for Finding a New Job in 2018

Published

on

By

Are you still looking for a job and not having any luck? Worried that you’re doing something wrong? It’s more than likely you’re not doing anything wrong but that you’re just doing the same thing as everyone else. So how do you stand out above the others? Here are some tips for finding a new job in 2018.

1. Use What You Have

Now that we have the internet with us, looking for a job is far more straightforward than it once was. Companies will use their websites and social pages to advertise jobs. You also have the help of other platforms. Use social media to help your search. Set up a LinkedIn, network on Facebook groups and retweet posts on Twitter. Additionally, there are plenty of job boards out there that can help you with your search. Make use of all the channels available.

2. Tailor Your Resume

Even when you’re looking for jobs in the same industry, you need to tailor your resume for each different role. Make sure that it matches up with specific roles and their requirements. Don’t use the same generic resume for each application. When you tailor yours for each role, you will be a step ahead.

3. Know How To Write A Cover Letter

Your cover letter should not read like your resume. You need to provide the manager with a more detailed background of who you are and why you fit the role. You should talk about why the company appeals to you and how your values align with theirs. Always include a call to action that implies you are eager and want to talk further about the position. When a job doesn’t ask for a cover letter, add one in any way and get ahead of the other candidates.

4. Preparation Is Key

There are few things you should do before you are going in for an interview. Firstly, research the company you are interviewing with. This isn’t just the work they do, but also includes their clients, other employees, previous campaigns, how long they’ve been around for and their mission statement. Plan and prepare for common and challenging interview questions that may come up in the interview.  Research the person who is interviewing you. Having some knowledge about the individual can help significantly.  Practice answering questions while alone so you can feel less stressed when you’re in the room with the interviewer.

5. Ask More Questions

You should want to know more information about the role; if you are not curious at all, it could be a sign the position is not for you. Asking questions and showing interest helps the interviewer to see your eagerness and that you would be an invested employee. Don’t ask questions and you might come across as disengaged.  You can ask questions about growth opportunities, who you will be working with, tasks, or even some challenges you might face.

6. Identify Your Skill Sets

Searching for a job typically involves looking around for job titles that sound most fitting to career goals. While this method has been successful in the past, it’s wiser to look at the skill set required for the position. Employers will be able to identify the skills the individual already possesses and which job that person is best suited to, if at all. If you feel you need to improve in some areas or get a step ahead of your competition, try some online courses with Upskilled.  Furthermore, you need to understand that job titles are continually changing, and you could open a broader range of roles if you break it down into skills.

7. Narrow It Down

You don’t need to apply for every single job opening that pops up. Try to narrow down your search and apply for the best ones only. Make sure they suit your skill set and align with your career goals. Make sure the role is right for you and check out the clients, culture, company and other employees. Why do employees like working there? Why don’t employees like working there? There comes the point where you might not be able to be too picky, but it’s worth finding something that suits you.

8. Keep The Job Listing

You should always keep the job listing and refer to it. What do they want and what do you need to be able to do? The job listing will remind you of these things. Copy and paste the listing, save it online or screenshot it. Refer back when you are writing your resume or preparing for an interview. Employers will often take down the listing after they have got a good number of applicants.

Standing out above other candidates isn’t hard with these simple tips. Good luck with the search!
